Description

Our most popular coffee from 2021 is back. This coffee has taken the Coffee Review by storm in recent years and we are very lucky to be able to get our hands on some, two years in a row. For those who have tried the lot from the end of 2020, the 21/03 lot feels a bit like a more matured version of the coffee, instead of having the distinct flavour of a melon candy, this one is heavier on the rum. All in all however, this is still an outstanding coffee.

If you have never come across the Wush Wush varietal, here is a little introduction. Wushwush (no space) is a small area in southwest Ethiopia, not far from the renowned growing regions of Jimma and Sidamo. Wushwush is known for its fertile highlands, where rich, vibrant teas grow. The coffee from this area and its namesake, the Wush Wush coffee has a distinct character of its own, which boasts floral and vibrantly fruity notes. This rare varietal followed the path of the Gesha, and was introduced to South America around 30 years ago and had gained tremendous success in recent years, especially in Colombia.
