By now coffee from Kochere, Ethiopia has pretty much become a household name. Kochere is an area within the Gedeo zone, just south of Yirgacheffe and is home to some of the highest grown coffee in the world, at altitude between 1900 to 2100 m.a.s.l.
Maybe a little less well known as its twin sibling the Kochere Washed, this naturally processed Yirgacheffe coffee is an absolute delight. Due to the processing method, the sweetness in this coffee is more intense, with the acidity slightly muted. When sipping from a cup, you may think that you are sniffing into a bouquet of orange blossoms.
