This beautiful coffee is from a microlot in the Sidama zone in southern Ethiopia. This coffee, whilst consisting of a citrusy that you may expect from an Ethiopian coffee, possesses a sweetness that may not be so obvious in a Yirgacheffe bean. In exchange, its citrusy is more mellow than its Yirgacheffe counterpart. The floral nose is an added delight.
Sidama is the leading coffee production zone in Ethiopia, and the Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union is the local industry trade organization that represents over 80,000 farmers.
